Share Certificates:
A Share Certificate account is a term investment offering a fixed dividend rate to maturity. A certificate account provides higher yields on funds invested from three months to six years.
Rate Boost Share Certificate:
This unique option is available on certificates of 36 months or longer. The option allows the certificate owner to boost the rate one time during the term of the certificate. The rate can be increased to the current rate for certificates of the same amount and term.
IRAs:
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are a great way to build that nest egg. Traditional IRAs provide a tax deduction for some people, along with tax-deferred interest. A Roth IRA is not tax deductible, but earns income tax-free. Consult your tax advisor to see which of these options is best for you.
Credit unions are regulated by NCUA (the National Credit Union Administration), an agency of the federal government. Each member's savings account is insured up to $250,000 by The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), administered by the NCUA. IRA accounts are separately insured to $250,000 by the NCUA.
